Rob has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and began his career in accounting and finance, with a keen interest in IT. Rob pursued a Certified Network Engineer (CNE) designation and has worked in IT departments of various Ottawa organizations since 1992. In 2008 Rob completed SharePoint Deployment Planning Services certification. Rob joined MicroWorks in 2007 where he manages the network engineering staff. Rob and his team design, install and support networks for clients, including servers, desktops, laptops, handhelds and networking equipment. Rob is also responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure at MicroWorks which includes: Windows Server 2008, 2003 and 2000; Exchange Server 2003; SharePoint Server; Microsoft SQL Servers; Microsoft CRM Server; Web Servers (IIS 6.0); Hyper-V Virtualization; Group Policy setup; backup strategy; patches; virus definitions; and security requirements.
